Friendship is a town in Allegany County, New York, USA. The population was 2,004 at the 2010 census. The town's name was adopted to mark the resolution of earlier conflicts. Interstate 86 exit 29 is at the west end of the hamlet of Friendship. Gas, food and many services are available in the Town. The center of Town is located on Van Campen Creek, a tributary of the Genesee River. The Town provides a small school setting in the Friendship Central School district.
